Beth Jacob Synagogue PO Box 1133 Montpelier, VT 05601-1133 802-229-9429 Community Dinners Community dinners are held once monthly - the last Sunday of every month - at the Bethany Church from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Dinners are staffed and prepared by Beth Jacob volunteers. If you would like to cook a dish, help set up, serve, and/or clean-up, please call Miriam Hansen at 802-229-5456 or contact her via e-mail at freshair (at) vtlink (dot) net. Community Dinner Instructions (PDF) Community Dinner Schematic (PDF) Bikur Cholim - Visiting the Sick Volunteers from the synagogue fulfill this mitzvah when we are informed of a Jewish person in the community who is ill. Notify a board member if you know of anyone in need of a visit, or if you would like to participate. Tzedakah - Tikun Olam The Board uses Synagogue funds for Tzedakah. Members who wish to propose Tzedakah should address their suggestion to any member of the Synagogue Board. Beth Jacob also sponsors non-sectarian community dinners and other social action projects. If you are interested in participating in these projects, you are warmly invited to join with us.
