Care Committee

The Care Committee aims to provide spiritual, social, emotional, and material support to members of our synagogue and community through the use of  volunteers and local resources. This care might take the form of bringing meals to a neighbor post-surgery, giving a ride to an elderly congregant or visiting a community member who struggles with loneliness.  Requests for help are addressed when a person in need sends an email to care@bethjacobvt.org.    

Members and friends of the synagogue are encouraged to 1) add this email to their contact list so it will be there when and if they need help and 2) become a volunteer: just fill out the form below to let us know how you want to contribute to making and keeping BJ a caring community. 

Guided by a Jewish commitment to chesed and the Beth Jacob community’s dedication to cooperation, kindness and generosity, the Beth Jacob Care Committee seeks to provide spiritual, social, emotional, and material support to members of our synagogue and community.
