Statement on Israel and Palestine
Statement on Israel and Palestine
Beth Jacob Synagogue is a proudly diverse community of Jews, their partners, and family members. Our diversity is reflected in our many approaches to religious practice, Jewish culture, tikkun olam (repairing the world), and all the ways that people engage with Judaism.
This diversity extends to our views on Israel and Palestine. We strive to build an inclusive Jewish community where everyone feels welcome and safe. We also work to create opportunities for vigorous, thoughtful, and respectful debate about the history, present, and future of Israel, Palestine, and the Middle East.
We encourage our members to speak for themselves and be politically active on these issues as they see fit.
