Shabbat Services
Shabbat Services
Beth Jacob is a lay-led congregation with spirtiual leadership provided by members of our congregation, rabbis in our community, and occasional visiting rabbis. Our beliefs and observance range from humanistic Judaism to traditional Judaism, and everything in between. We are not affiliated with any movement. Our services are varied. Observances include Reform (mostly in English), Reconstructionist, Jewish Renewal, and Conservative (mostly in Hebrew). We use a variety of prayer books in our celebrations, especially Likrat Shabbat and Kol Haneshamah. We usually have one Saturday Shabbat service, two Erev Shabbat services, and one "Three Blessings and a Potluck" each month. Check the calendar for specific dates and times.
